Kenrokuen

Early April to Mid-April

A cherry blossom banquet in the garden of Kaga hyakumangoku fame
Kenrokuen is renowned as one of the three most outstanding gardens in Japan, and it features many rare varieties of plant. It is also filled with cherry trees that are seldom seen elsewhere in Japan, such as the Kenrokuen chrysanthemum cherry tree that has over 300 petals per blossom, and the Kenrokuen kumagaya cherry tree with its plump, peony-like flowers. (Kenrokuen chrysanthemum cherry tree blossoms peak between late April and early May.)
