Make Sushi

Tsukiji in Tokyo is home to the world’s largest fish and sea food market, and is full of restaurants offering visitors the chance to enjoy fresh, delicious sushi. Restaurants in Tsukiji Fish Market also offer visitors the chance to try their hand at sushi-making, which is regarded as an art form in Japan, and is a hands-on cultural and culinary experience not to be missed. Before the lesson begins, a guide will provide a tour of the market and explain the fish and other sea food that will be used in the lesson. Once the tour finishes, under the guidance of an expert master chef, learn how to make sushi delights such as nigirizushi (hand-pressed sushi) and makizushi (rolled sushi). Almost as satisfying as making delicious sushi is eating them after the lesson.

How to get there

By public transportation
Tsukiji Fish Market is located just above Tsukiji Shijo Station on the Toei Oedo Subway Line. Or, walk 5 minutes from Tsukiji Station which is on the Hibiya Subway Line. The closest JR station is Shimbashi, from where you can walk to the market in about 15 minutes.
