Matsumae Sakura Festival

Matsumae Park, home to more than 10,000 cherry trees, has been officially recognized as one of the 100 best cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan.
Approximately 250 varieties of cherry trees bloom in succession from late April to late May. From April 29 – May 19, the Sakura Matsuri festival features a variety of events,including traditional music and performances. Don’t miss the view of Matsumae Castle surrounded by cherry blossoms!
