Nabana no Sato
Luke’s serves one of the freshest lobster rolls I have ever tasted. I first tried them in New York, but the American lobster rolls are now available in Tokyo.
At Luke’s in Tokyo, there are two different-sized lobster rolls to choose from.
Depending on your hunger level, you can order a Regular Size roll for 980 yen or a US Size for 1,580 yen. The difference between the two is the amount of lobster meat they contain: the buns are the same size. The lobster has a very fresh fl avor with a pleasing sweetness. The meat is seasoned with just a hint of lemon butter, salt and herbs and spices. So you savor the pure taste of the lobster, not added mayonnaise, onion or garlic.
Butter is spread on the buns, which are then crisply grilled, allowing you to enjoy the full umami flavor of the lobster.
If you feel peckish while shopping in the Harajuku district, do stop by Luke’s. And after shopping and enjoying your lobster roll, you can visit the nearby popular attraction of Meiji Shrine or relax in Yoyogi Park. Alternatively, you could check out the popular Park Street branch, which opened in Shibuya in March.
